Caul fat

I'm looking at a recipe that calls for caul fat. Any thoughts on a good Twin Cities area vendor? I asked at Hackenmuellers and they don't have it. They also said it might be really pricey. Has anybody used this?

Just FYI. Finer Meats and Clancy's don't carry it.

Also give Finer Meats (on Nicollet) a call. They break down a lot of their own meat and when I was looking for beef neck bones, they had them. Seems like a place that would have it or could get it.

Wow. Can't believe they would say it is expensive. I would call widmers in st. paul or clanceys and ask if they can at least get some on a shipment. Ive asked clancey's before and they said they have it occasionally, but I wouldn't see a problem with them sourcing.

I would try Heartland's market in St. Paul or Clancy's meats in LInden Hills - ?
