Help second thoughts on Bobo/ West Village birthday dinner

Hello,

I recently booked my 30th birthday dinner at Bobo (West Village) for 7 people . However after reading posts and reviews I am starting to feel that it is overpriced and underwhelming. I need to find an alternative with a similar vibe in the West Village by March 19th. Can anyone help? 10 Downing is booked up and Little Owl doesn't take parties greater than 5. I am thinking maybe Kingswood. Can anyone else recommend a good place with a downtown vibe ??

  1. Right near Bobo, you might like Morandi or Gusto for Italian (not great for cocktails, though), or Ofrenda for well made Mexican-influenced food with some good cocktails on the menu, or Agave for cocktails and so-so Southwestern food. Further afield, you might like Alta for Mediterranean tapas and wine.

You have a lot of options. Let us know what it is about Bobo you thought you'd like and maybe we can help you narrow down your choices.

Ill look into these thanks. I thought Bobo looked perfect due to the cozy and interesting layout as well as the creative menu. I was also recommended it due to the ambiance (hustle and bustle) i guess im looking for a place that has energy and hip, but also has some interesting dishes/ drinks and flavors. Although Ofrenda looks delicious.

    2. Actually my friend did a birthday dinner at bobo and they really catered to her and made the night memorable, maybe ask if you can speak to manager about it?
