Dinner for 4 guys in SoMa or Union Square Area

I'm doing some research for my husband, his brother and two long time friends who will be in SF the second week of March. Looking for dinner in SoMa or Union Square area. They love it all, but this is definitely not a evening of fine dining. A great kitchen with local fare, some excellent cocktails and wine would make 4 guys very happy. Thanks for all your help!
