I have a really interesting recipe I'd like to try, but for the life of me I can't find any smoked ham hocks in the area...only fresh!
Anyone have some good tips? I tried McKinnon's in Davis, Shaws, Capone's, and the Whole foods so far.
I have to say that "smocked ham hocks" brings to mind a really adorable image, those cute little hocks in their pinafores!
The Fresh Pond Market has frozen ham hocks.

I was kind of suprised too, I didnt think it was that unusual an ingredient!
Thanks for the MB rec tho. I went there and they had them! Dont usually shop there, so I wouldn't have thought of it on my own :)
Which Shaws did you try? The one on the Belmont/Watertown line usually has them.
I got some for pea soup yesterday at MB in Woburn
It's surprising that you cannot find any. Have you tried Market Basket? I'd expect them there and just about any major supermarket. WF has them sometimes. If you get stuck they would probably get some for you if you asked.
