Chinatown Soup to help fight a cold
I'm fighting off a cold and headed on vacation tomorrow and am craving a nice big bowl of noodle soup. Any suggestions on what to get and where in chinatown that will help fight off this head cold? I'm thinking of heading to Xinh Xinh, any cold curing suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

I forget the name, but the spicy noodle soup at Penang. Will clear up all sinus problems.

Perhaps the Tom Yum seafood noodle soup?

I just looked it up on their menu. It was the prawn mee. I liked it so much that I never got farther down the noodle soup menu. :)

I'm suffering from a cold and decided to try the prawn mee at Penang, and was pretty disappointed, I'm afraid. The broth was not spicy, it was more "musty" not sure how to describe it, but adobo-ish maybe and without any heat, and I'm only average in my heat tolerance. Lots of slightly gamey and slightly beef bullion-ey flavors.
It was warm and soothing on my throat anyway, but sure wish I'd gone to Xinh Xinh which has never done me wrong.

I'm a phở-natic for the Pho Dac Biet Sate at Dong Khanh. It's the stuffy nose, sore throat, cough and fever you don't know what you need soup.
