Can you get good food at the Racinos?

Gulfstream, Mardi Gras, The Isle, Flagler Dog Track -- all are racinos, the combination of racetracks and casinos, and all offer dining options. Are the restaurants any good, or are they just places for the gamblers to keep their spirits up while gambling? Any standout restaurants? Anything you'd go there for specifically? Or, are they all like the concessions stand at the drive-in movie theaters -- just sustenance for trapped patrons?

As far as the Isle in Pompano goes, Myron's has gone downhill dramatically since it opened, which is a shame -- it quickly became one of my favorites. The steakhouse is meh -- expensive and pretty predictable. Like tongue said above, Gulfstream is mediocre at best.

I would go to Gulfstream specifically to visit The Cheese Course. Otherwise...not so much.

Is there anything in particular you recommend about the Cheese Course? They just opened or are about to open in Coral Springs.

Their cheese tasting plates are like none I have had in Florida before; I thought they were incredible. The sandwiches are all made with top notch ingredients and I must say the Proscuitto De Parma remains my favorite.

I second The Cheese Course. I've been to the ones in Mizner Park in Boca and at Gulfstream. The Proscuitto De Parma is also my favorite sandwich and I can get enough of the Truffled Cacio Romano Cheese.

I've been to the Yardhouse twice and honestly only go there for the great draft beer selection. The food is just ok, the same kind of things you can get at many chains.

Myron's Deli at The Isle in Pompano is a good Jewish style deli.

Had luch the other day at the Yard House at Gulfstream - Mediocre food at elevated prices and $10 valet parking.
