Small, intimate bachelorette...cocktails a must...location?

I'm trying to plan a small, intimate bachelorette for a friend. She loves wine but is picky with food. I'd like to do a dinner with after drinks for her and up to 10 others but am lost as far as location goes. I'll consider anything at this point...central NJ...anywhere from Linden to New Brunswick would be ideal.

So, what kind of food DOES she like?

If she likes French food, Sophie's Bistro in New Brunswick is a really nice place with wine and cocktails.

Clydz in New Brunswick is a very small martini bar with interesting food and a fun atmosphere.

very basic foods...not big on vegetables...i guess comfort food would explain it best.
