Plans for coming weekend....criticism? Advice? Agreement?
We ( 2 cousins celebrating an important mutual birthday! ) arrive just before lunch on Saturday, plan to stop at Liuzza's BTT on the way to the FQ. Check in, stroll around and sample cocktails, nap....and dinner at Galatoire's.
Sunday brunch at Court of Two Sisters ( hey, free coupon for two with hotel reservation), then wander about and sample cocktails neglected the day before. Sunday evening, maybe Coops or Fiorellas for a lighter dinner before we check out the Trashy Disco night at LaFitte's In Exile...sounds too fun to pass up! (Plus we have sequined dresses we have been dying to wear!) Likely to hit Clover Grill for bedtime snack, maybe Camellia since now in FQ. Or an All That Jazz from Verti Marte.
Monday a late breakfast at Stanley, then a spa day. Dinner at Bon Ton. What to do Monday night????
Tuesday lunch at August, then pack up and head home, after picking up to go muffs at CG for those left at home.
Anything we need to change? Add? Suggestions?

Liuzza's BTT has gone downhill. Instead of Bon Ton on Mon., consider Herbsaint, Coquette, Emeril's.
How late a breakfast at Stanley? Perhaps an early lunch at Commander's instead (although you may miss your spa day with 25 cent martinis). Enjoy!

re: JazzyB
Hmmmm, two NO votes for Luizza's.....reconsider, reconsider. My cousin had their BBQ shrimp po boy last year and has been wanting to go back. is it just not good any longer?
I do love the look of Emeril's menu, and it has gotten good reviews on the board, as have the other two. Is there a particular reason to avoid Bon Ton, or just not as big a fan as the others?
BTW, we have spa appts at 1:00 so a brunch type breakfast around 10:30 or 11:00, then plan to waddle / wander to the spa, hope to not have extra full bellies on the massage table! If I went to CP I would snore right on thru the whole thing!

re: betheroo
There's nothing wrong with Bon Ton. The three JB mentioned instead I consider to be good restaurants but are in a little bit of a different direction than Bon Ton. Look at the menus. They all serve good food so pick the one that talks to your stomach (smile)

I would go to the FQ and check in. You can find joints like Liuzza's in the FQ. Go to Coop's, Original French Market Restaurant, Napoleon House, Acme, Felix's or Lil Dizzy's over on Poydras. Put your luggage up and then have fun. Go to Galatoire's after you have fun all afternoon. Skip 2 Sister's even if you have a free coupon. Go to Mr. B's for Sunday Brunch.

re: hazelhurst
Okay, as I feared I'm not going to be able to get a bargain! I was afraid it would not be worth it, I wait all year for my NOLA trip and hate to waste a meal on "meh", free or not.
I love Mr. B's and was planning to drop in for a cocktail and a plate of BBQ shrimp anyhow, may have to do it for brunch! Will check put the offerings at Coquette as well....thanks for the input!
