Wine Bar for Large Group

Looking for a wine bar (preferably with some small dishes but not restaurant style) for a birthday party where people can come and go but plan to have roughly 15 people in one area at a time. Any suggestions?
All neighborhoods in Manhattan are okay.

There is a nice backyard and a downstairs at Tolani at 80th and amsterdam. Food is pretty good too

If the FiDi is a nabe you would consider, add Vintry (www.vintrynyc.com) to your list. Anyone there can help you but Ivan is the manager. It is one of the Poulakakos' family (Harry and Peter) restaurants, and they entertain groups about as well as anyone. If you decide on it, ask Harry to stop by; a real Greek (from Sparta) gentleman.

Bowery Wine Co. is huge - not necessarily the greatest selection of wine (depends on the night), but certainly affordable, plus plenty of indoor and outdoor space and small apps.

Bocca di Bacco should also be large enough to accommodate; it is not standout food, but it holds its own and would be a good atmosphere for a birthday party.

            Downstairs room at 'inoteca

Maybe Accademia di Vino would work

Otto would be the easiest choice, given it's size. You would have to stand in the bar area.

You could also see about the back toom at the Ten Bells.

I gotta say. Otto was extremely loud when I was last there. It's the room design. So if you don't plan to talk, it's fine.
