Donna's Cafes, Baltimore

Haven't been to these places in a while but it caught my attention when I read about the Mt Vernon location being closed due to a fire. Sad, I loved that place, in part of an office building/apt building. I believe they still have 3 other locations.

I remember having an awesome roasted vegetable platter, best tasting veggies I've ever had! Anybody been to Donna's recently?

In the last 6 months, we've eaten at the Columbia location and the Cross Keys location for lunch and dinner. The food each time was very good, but the service was not necessarily so. Very little ambiance at either location. Great hamburger.

I am a huge Donna's fan! I usually go to the one at Cross Keys. My favorite dishes are the salmon salad (the miso dressing is wonderful!) and the lamb burger, but everything I have had has been very, very good. I love the fact that the salads always include such delicious, fresh vegetables. I have also found it to be a great place for kids (they have a well rounded kids' menu) and when the weather is nice, it's always delightful to eat (or have a glass of wine) on their large patio.
