Shamrock Shakes...they're BACK!!!
Well, given that St.Paddy's is upon us, the Shamrock Shake is back at McD's.
I was very surprised to see them. So of course, I thought I would hearken back those childhood memories and order one. Right away, I didn't taste as I remembered, but it was still tasty. Then about half way through it I started to feel ill....which exactly what I remembered.
Fun little diversion, but not sure if I would get it again...I like my digestive system too much to subject it to a neon green drink (Mountain Dew notwithstanding)

I never really got those things. Peppermint flavoured dairy reminds me of toothpaste or medicine.

They've been out for at least a week now. I do think they've toned down the mint a lot from how it was when I was in school. It now tastes like vanilla with just a touch of mint, rather than that strong peppermint flavor it used to be.

Glad to hear this. The Shamrock Shake was a favourite of my childhood. I never found them all that minty. I just liked having a green shake (green has been my favourite colour since childhood). I went searching for one a few years back and was disappointed to discover that they weren't on the menu, so I guess I'll be heading to the golden arches sometime in the next week.
