Excited in Asheville!

Just read about Curate, the new tapas place at 11 Biltmore Ave., and am very excited. The Mountain Xpress reports that chef Katie Button has worked with both Ferran Adria and Jose Andres. Needless to say, this could be the kind of world-class dining downtown Asheville has long needed. Website says they opened Friday. Anybody been?

I'm bummed to see it's not opened for lunch AND that dinner service starts at 6 instead of 5. (i like a REALLY late lunch) But of course, a special trip could be made if your review glows!

I am so pleased to see the interest in our restaurant. As we just opened last Friday, we have made the decision to open at 6pm in order to give our brand new team enough time to be ready for service, we will however be opening at 5pm shortly. We also plan on opening for lunch and brunch on saturdays and sundays as soon as we get our feet under us. Please come visit, we look forward to seeing you there! - Katie Button

This week's Mountain X reports that Jose Andres himself was at last Friday's grand opening. Crap! Wish I had known THAT...
