Fresh Wontons?

Bamboodles closed. :( That's where I'd get fresh wontons... take them home, put them in the freezer and enjoy them at my whim without having to get in the car. Great meal for my toddler. He yums them up.

I need a new wonton source. Anyone?? I live on the east side so I'm relatively close to Alhambra/San Gabriel Valley/Monterey Park.

Thanks!

JTYH carries them. We usually get a couple of bags of their dumplings (pork/nappa, pork/chive) and they'll often throw in a free bag of something else. A couple of weeks ago, it was a free bag of wontons. We haven't tried them yet - will post when we do.

Maybe I should specify... RAW wontons. They were freshly made at Bamboodles- as in, there was still flour dust on the skins. I would freeze them raw and make soup with them later. (the pork filling was amazing too)

Are frozen wontons raw? I don't know that I've ever had the store bought frozen ones.

The frozen ones at Costco are "fully cooked". They come packaged with the soup.

As I suggested, you might want to try some different frozen dumplings(uncooked). Some suggestions in the SGV area that sell them to customers. Who knows, maybe they'll sell won tons too.

You can also substitute frozen dumplings for won tons in soups.

You say you want "fresh", but you're freezing them anyway. Costco has frozen won tons. Yesterday at the Costco in Los Feliz there was a local company promoting a frozen won ton with different "gourmet" fillings.
