Lunch recs for Fernie/Sparwood/Crowsnest Pass?

We will be traveling through Fernie, Sparwood, and Crowsnest Pass in a couple of weeks and are looking for a nice place to stop for lunch. Strangely, I can't find any info about any of these towns on CH. Any suggestions? We are pretty much open to anything.

Thanks!

      thanks for the advice, howlin.

are there any other opinions? I can't beleive that no one has anything to say about these big holiday towns! remember, negative comments are just as useful as positive ones! :)

Urbanspoon might be of help here:

My wife's from Fernie. But that was in the '80s. E. Kootenay has changed a lot since then !

I know this is late, but for others looking here are the local Fernie haunts for lunch:

Loaf, bakery/cafe. They have pizza, sandwiches, salad and pastries
Big Bang Bagels. Fresh made bagel sandwiches
The Blue Touque. Brunch/lunch only, closed Tuesdays, great homey but gourmet food
Lunchbox. Brand new option with wraps, soups, stews.

My impression, from passing through a couple of times, is that Fernie has the best food selections, since it has a ski resort. Sparwood is modern coal company town. Towns on the Alberta side of the pass are older and generally small.

                Bingo Paulj.

Although Crowsnest has some good stops, the Fly shop cafe has good baked items, as does the Cinnamon Bear (amazing cinnamon buns). The Rumrunner makes a great burger.

Almost all the restaurants in Fernie are great with just a few exceptions. Don't expect fast service though, food is notoriously slow here.
