opinions on Chine Toque? (Ste Catherine near Atwater)

Just wondering if anyone's been here. It only gets one brief (thumbs-down) mention here from a couple years back, and a 6+ yr old review in the Mirror. Thanks.

Alright, I guess I'm playing guinea pig. A friend of mine chose this for a party tomorrow. I'd rather stick with what I know around Concordia, especially as this seems pricier from the menu online, but not my call.

Based on one visit several years ago, you can expect competent but boring cooking. Chinese food for people who don't like Chinese food. In that sense, not necessarily a bad choice for a party assuming there are a good number of unadventurous eaters on board.

At the time it gave the impression of having been unchanged in years, successfully catering to a particular audience, so I wouldn't be surprised if it remains exactly the same.

*sigh* Yeah, unadventurous eaters are the bane of my existence. Most of my friends go-to dishes are, of course, General Tao and anything with peanut sauce. Thanks for the tip.

Ate there at lunch about a month ago, and I have to agree with Mr. F. It's not bad but it's not special in any manner. The service was good, but it is a little pricy.
