Cheese Souffle at La Grenouille ?

DeeMe Mar 5, 2011 11:37 AM

Has anyone here ever had the cheese souffle at La Grenouille? I see reviews on the chocolate and Grand Manier souffle, but not much on the cheese.

I'd love to know what you thought of it. And I will be ordering the chocolate souffle for dessert. :)

Thank you,

Haven't had the cheese souffle, but you might also consider the caramel one, which isn't always on the menu, but usually available for the asking.

Yes, I've read allot about the caramel one .. but for dessert, I'm definitely ordering the chocolate souffle. I've just seen very little mentioned about the cheese one .. which I will order for my main course.

Hope you have a fabulous time - let us know how the cheese souffle is. Any idea of what you are going to start with?

I have a very tiny appetite, so I need to be careful of what I order. If I order appetizer, I don't usually have room for main course ... so probably will only order cheese souffle for main course, then choc. souffle for dessert. Even then, I'm sure I'll be stuffed. LOL

My date (meeting him for first time) will also order us a bottle of wine, all though I also drink very little. :)

And yes, I'll be sure and report back on not only La Grenouille, but the River Cafe, where we're going for just dessert ... and a few other places also.

Re: Dessert Soufflé. The first time we went to La Grenouille in 2009, there was only one size: Gigantic!

Photo of the gigantic soufflé can be seen in this set: http://www.flickr.com/photos/11863391...

That has changed. When we went last year, there were three options: s,m,l.
Acc. to the menu on their website, that's still the case.

Sounds like a terrific date. Enjoy!
