Where do I find Mexican Q&Q Fideo?

casinogalb2 Mar 5, 2011 04:31 AM

Being from Texas originally I miss my Q&Q Fideo so I try to pick up a couple of boxes on each trip home. Is there anyone that knows of a grocery store in northern MA that carries the yellow & red box? I would even travel a distance if I knew it was available.

Not sure about that specific brand but I get my groceries from Poblano's in downtown Lynn. I've bought some fideos recently and they're pretty good although they are the cheap inexpensive type that you use for soups. Are you thinking of making sopa de fideo seco? If so, I assume you might need a decent quality brand that won't stick or disintegrate when cooking. I can take a look next time I go and see if they carry this brand, I go there once every other week or so. My local Stop & Shop at Washington Street also carries fideos (also the cheap kind).

I haven't been here in a while so I would call first before making the trip, but I seem to recall seeing them at La Mexicana market (previously Mexi-mart), at 68 Mechanic Street in Marlborough. 508-310-5620. Good luck!
