Knishes - SF or Shipped

I'm looking for a supply of potato-onion knishes, round or flat, either in SF or somewhere where shipping wouldn't be prohibitive. Frozen is OK. Zabar's in NYC ships, but they require overnight shipping on knishes. For a dozen knishes, that's $55.00 in shipping.

I'm in Walnut Creek, but am house-bound, which makes shipping attractive. As an alternative, my son could pick some up in SF or the East Bay on his trips to WCk.

A few of the local bagel shops used to carry them, but no longer.

Any ideas?

I know that you specifically requested potato-onion, but Tante's potato-spinach knishes are outstanding, and definitely many orders of magnitude better than House of Bagels.

If you have a House of Bagels out there, they carry knishes....probably Saul's as well in Berkeley....good luck...

Yes, they have frozen knishes. They're pretty good. The kitchen table in mountainview has a knish of the day each day, but you never know what the flavor will be.

Did you try Yonah Schimmel in NY on Houston St?

An only as last resort check Costco. I believe they were Gabila's, big but bland.
