Great restaurants near the Four Seasons Punta Mita?

Looking forward to going to the Four Seasons Punta Mita and wanted to know what restaurants are highly recommended in the area. Thanks!
Once you leave the cloistered compund of the Four Seasons and St. Regis there is a strip of restaurants along the beach. One a sister restaurant of Cafe des Artistes in Puerto qualifies as outstanding http://www.cafedesartistesdelmar.com/
The others are palapa style casual beach restaurants. One of the best is El Dorado. One not on the beach to check out is Vito's.
Other than those you there is a long drive into La Cruz or further Bucerias and Nuevo Vallarta or further still Puerto Vallarta.
While the property and services at the Four Season is what you would expect, in fact, better, the food is absolutely terrible. We stayed about two weeks ago, and it was so bad, that I would in fact never stay at that particular 4S again. I've never written a trip advisor report before and actually had fully planned on doing so after spending so much money, for such bad quality. Rather than rant about being ripped off I feel that you should be warned. If you find a different experience, I'd be interested if you posted a follow up. I think you can do well at Cafe des Artistes, they have a sushi bar on the top of the restaurant that looks great as well.
Very good food can be found in Sayulita, and San Pancho. There are so many good restaurants, you can hardly go wrong, and the street food is excellent (and a LOT better than the garbage at 4S).
Cafe des artistes is amazing at night for sure and the view on top at the sushi bar is nice. However, I ordered a rainbow roll from the sushi bar and specifically asked 'is there tuna today inside the rainbow roll' to which the waiter replied YES. There wasn't even ANY fish in it!! only shrimp and eel. wow. I live here and try so hard not to get burned like that. I would recommend the sushi bar with caution. Anyways, you must try the new restaurant Si, Señor on the southern end of the beach on restaurant row in Mita. Crazy good. The cochinita pibil is divine- the service lovely. Also, right up there is Rosa Mexicana next to margaritas- many former des artistes staff defected and started this one- can't go wrong there. Pricey as the others mentioned but hi grade meals.
Granted we were there a year ago, but we thought Bahia at the 4S was pretty tasty. We thought it was good enough to go back a second night. We stayed at the St. Regis and found their food to be overpriced (duh) and a touch better than mediocre. Cafe des Artistes also did not impress. It was just okay, and their prices are high. My advice would be to go to Sayulita. We loved Sayulita enough to rent a house and stay there during our last trip to the area. We especially liked Sayulita Fish Taco. Get the shrimp tacos! The tacos al pastor stand was also quite delicious.
