Weekday Lunch somewhere between Niagara on the Lake and Burlington

Heading from Niagara on the Lake to Port Credit, am looking for a nice little restaurant to stop along the way for lunch on a weekday. Pennisula Ridge and East Dell are closed. Any suggestions?

  1. How about the Harbour Diner in Hamilton? It's been on my radar to try for a long time, as it gets positive reviews here.

Harbour Diner fits the bill, NoTL to Burlington is a wide area...good food, friendly service.

However it is closed on Mondays...

Caution - some of those are closed on Monday - not sure what day is intended.

+1 for either Treadwell's or About Thyme ... we go to both very regularly

        2. The Lakehouse in Vineland is good or Spencer's at the Waterfront in Burlington has a good lunch menu.

            1. Bread Bar in Hamilton, a little out of the way but worth it

Soup sandwich and pizza, open Mondays

I'll second the recommendation for Bread Bar, though it is a bit out of the way if driving between Niagara and Toronto. My SO and I had a really enjoyable Saturday lunch there several weeks ago. It's not a fancy restaurant but our panini were excellent. Our tablemates ordered pizza (a specialty of the restaurant) which looked scrumptious. The restaurant is also a bakery... they make all of the baked goods for the Ancaster Mill group (including Spencers on the Lake and the new restaurant in Cambridge.) To finish our meal, we bought some fresh bread and scones for Sunday breakfast.

They opened a new restaurant in Cambridge? Do you know what it's called?

Cambridge Mill, not quite open yet I think, probably quite soon though by the sound of things.
