JazzyB,
Nice write up, and I think that it captured the "essence," with no pun intended.
Like others, it has been a while for us, but we have always had fun, great food and great service at Emeril's. Remember - that was then, but we are now, so don't have recent reviews. Even their wine service was fun, well-focused to pair, and appropriate.
As many will include Emeril's in their line-ups, I think that this would be good to point to.
While Emerial's might not be the ultimate, and most levels, it never failed to impress us.
I find that many, who review Emeril's here, are too hung up on the TV persona. I have to admit that Emeril Live s a bit off-putting to me, but did like his old cooking show, before the "showman" emerged to become a super-star. Still, I will never hold that against the Chef, as the restaurant has always delivered the goods, and with a bit of a wink and a nod.
Thank you,
Hunt

re: JazzyB
It's funny, I have absolutely no qualms with Emeril's, or Delmonico for that matter, yet I haven't been to the former in months, the latter in at least 3 years. Strange how places just slip under the radar. I need to rectify this.
