where to find Egyptian koshari in Toronto?

Anyone know where to find this delicious dish in the GTA?

The place mentioned south of Queen on Duncan is called Baba Geddo and I can highly recommend it. I spent a month in Egypt years ago and practically lived on koshari while I was there. It's always been one of my favourite fast foods from my travel adventures. I never knew where to find it here in Toronto but found this post a couple days ago and made a special trip downtown to check it out. It was like a trip back in time for me, exactly as I remembered it and so, so good. Now if I could only find good laksa in Toronto : )

Glad you liked the koshari. For laksa, I like Hawker Bar on Ossington.

I too had the koshari at Baba Geddo (for the first time) and loved it. Pure comfort food and the old woman who made it was very nice.

I've had it at a place called ABC in mississauga - its a slightly sketchy sheesha lounge off of eglinton and tomken. I wouldn't call their koshari great, but it might satisfy a craving. This toronto star article might point you in the right direction too: http://www.thestar.com/entertainment/...

Can't vouch for its quality but I've had it at a mom and pop shop on the east side of Duncan, just south of Queen, between the Subway and the Lebanese place. Sorry but I can't remember the name of the place.
