I've completely given up on the Andouille in the DFW area, so yesterday I ordered 8 lbs of andouille from Best Stop. With packaging and shipping it was just over $100.
I'm looking forward to making gumbo with it, as I was volunteered to bring gumbo into work for Fat Tuesday.
This stuff better be good! I'll report back.
I doubt you will be disappointed. I get it about once a month. Hold up beautifully in gumbo, unlike some that fall apart.
Well, I'm dissappointed. My order was supposed to show up this morning and nothing has arrived.
I called to get a tracking number and no one at the store would help me - told me I'd have to call Monday. Not really helpful since i have to do gumbo for 30 on Tuesday.
Panic mode has set in.
