Help..need NON Seafood Restaurant Suggestions

A group of us are taking a friend out for her 40th Birthday dinner on Saturday night. Catch is that she is highly allergic to seafood...UGH! I feel bad for her since there is so much awesome seafood in Houston. We can't go any place that serves seafood...ack ! And we all love good food. We are trying to stay out in the Sugarland area. I am racking my brain trying to find a place the does not serve any seafood....we would love a place like BJ's since we want good food and alcohol too. But alas, they serve all kinds of seafood.

Any suggestions I would appreciate.....someone everyone in our party is laying the choice on me and I don't have much time to do this today.

My other suggestion is to kidnap birthday girl and take her to Phil's BBQ and then hit clubs on Washington's for drink's afterwards. If we do that...what must go to bars on Washington do you recommend for a lively fun group?

At this point your friend bday has already passed but maybe you will know what to do next year in March.
    Sugarland best restaurants:
1-Perry's Steakhouse ( specially like their Friday pork chop special at lunch). Best deal in town, good steak and an excellent bar.
2-Tradicao Brazilian Steakhouse is a newcomer but they hit the ground running. All you can eat steak, nice bar area, reasonable prices. They occupy the old Pappas Grill on Hwy 59
3-Post Oak Grill where on Hwy 6, also has a nice bar area
Choices are limited in the Sugar Land area but those would be a good start

Not only has the birthday passed, so has Phil's. Scratch that place off the map for next year.

They may be good, but they all serve seafood.

I checked out Grimaldi's Pizza menu in Sugarland, and the only seafood I saw was anchovies. The menu is limited, pizza, calzones, and salads, but the pizzas are supposed to be superb.

Thanks everybody...BBQ was the best we could come up with and the offerings in Sugarland were underwhelming so we decided to go to Phil's (it's pretty decent and has veggies which is a plus) and we can grab a beer there with our food. Then we are heading over to Washington avenue to hit a couple of bars afterwards which is what the birthday really wants to do most :) Will be a fun night!

          That's obviously a tough one.

I just hate to see an honest question with 0 replies, but I'm afraid that aside from bbq, I don't have any suggestions. When I got to thinking about it, almost every other place will have seafood of some kind.

Good luck and Happy B-Day to your friend.

Yeah - I'm drawing a blank too. Almost any place that serve's decent food also serves seafood. Does the Brazilian beef fest place (I forget it's name) do seafood? Sounds like you're stuck with dives, BBQ joints or pure vegetarian joints.
