Foodie Meetup 3/23 - Thai Palace in Chapel Hill, NC

LOCKED DISCUSSION

I organize an informal foodie meetup/tweetup once per month called the Social Media Supper Club. I wanted to take the time to invite the chowhounds!

It's a free event (we each pay our own way) for those who love to eat and drink in the company of other foodies.

Event site is here: http://www.amiando.com/smsc5.html

    Folks-

We are going to lock this thread, as per our guidelines we do permit posting invitations to Chowhounds to eat together, but please, let's not discuss the policy or logistics here.

When you do post one of these announcements, please use the Report link to give us a heads-up, so we can lock and sticky your post.

I wasn't sure if you did this or The Mez. Posting meetups on here is not a good idea. I hear good things about Thai Palace. You all should do an expense account dinner at Bonne Soiree before they close.

Some of us have a gmail group going.

Why is it not a good idea? It doesn't seem to be against the posting etiquette. Unfortunately there won't be expense accounts involved for this dinner.

Yes I have already read them. There is no language which says you can't post about an event. In fact it says that you can and describes how most people go about it. Please enlighten me if I've missed something.
