  1. For dinner you are very close to Brasserie Beck. Not sure what you mean by "not too expensive", but $20 at Beck will get you enough of their excellent mussels and frites for two. Belgian beer is great there, but costly. A couple of blocks further is the excellent gastropub, Againn. Search the board for extensive comments on both.

I don't know of any good breakfast spots in that area. You should find the usual chain type stuff though. (Cosi, Au Bon Pain, Corner Bakery, etc.)

    1. You could try Old Ebbitt at 15th and F or Poste at about 7th and F - also you could run an Open Table search - mostly going to be hotels or chains in that area

I wouldn't call those places especially close to 11th and Mass.

10-15 minute walk - but there aren't a lot of options "close"

      2. Morrison Clark inn has breakfast,is near there, and is quite charming: http://www.morrisonclark.com/morrison...

        1. Brasserie Beck and Againn are very fine choices for diinner. Beck is Belgian and Agaiin is Irish. Againn has a very distinctive menu. If you want to spend a lot less, then go for the excellent carne deshilada -with egg- at El Rinconcito. Also good papusas and tamales, but go first for the carne.
