Celebratory wine-centric event in Baltimore?

Hi,

Looking for somewhere to go to taste wine as part of a tasteful "bachelorette" party. Know of any wine bars in Baltimore or wine shops or even restaurants that might be a good spot? The bride-to-be is a wine enthusiast, but a budget-conscious one.

Any suggestions?

Try the Wine Market in Federal Hill. If you buy by the bottle, they only charge a a couple dollars more than what they sell it for in their shop. Plus they have a parking lot (!!!!) and a nice menu.

There is also Grand Cru and Crush in Belvedere Square. Grand Cru might be too small depending on the party size.

Second the Wine Market rec, although it's in Locust Point on Fort Ave. They also have a nice private room that can seat 12-30.

If you're doing this in the spring or summer I'd suggest an outdoor tasting at a local vineyard. I think Basignani does the best job of ones in the area and Boordy is fun as well. They can set up great outdoor tasting areas and both are beautiful settings.

Bin 604 in Harbor East does regular tasting events and can do private tastings. I don't know if they allow food, so it could be a wine only event, but there are plenty of restaurant options near by. They can easily set something up for your budget. Vino Rosina is a block away and could probably do something similar and include food.13.5 in Hampden is another possibility. Another option in Hampden is the Wine Source. Hope this helps
