Pour-over coffee demo/event this Saturday 3/5 in Lexington Center

  • 1

I ran across this while visiting the Barismo website this AM, and figured that Hounds of the coffee persuasion might be interested. It's an unusual venue for a chow-ish happening, so I thought I might share the info here.

The short take on this is that one of the Barismo guys will be doing pour-overs at the Ride Studio Cafe in Lexington Center from 9-5 this Saturday. If you are the least bit curious as to whether this method makes a difference compared to whatever you currently do to brew coffee, this could be a nice way to find out.

For my part, I tried pour-over method coffee at Barismo a year or so ago and was astounded at the difference compared to my normal brewing methods (French Press or Aeropress). Since then I did purchase a setup (as described in the blog entry linked above) and can say two things: it takes practice, and you can get some amazingly good results.

Enjoy!

  1. We've split off the original set of replies to this question to the Home Cooking board, because they concerned making coffee, not buying it in Boston. You'll find that thread here: http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/7698... .
