Long Island restaurant to celebrate 20th anniversary

LindsayTNYC Mar 3, 2011 08:04 AM

My husband and I made it to twenty years of marriage without killing each other. Guess we should celebrate, right? We're in central Nassau County and would appreciate your recommendations for killer food in an upscale setting. Thanks!

Definitely a possibility. Haven't been there in ages. Thanks.

Does Riverbay really fit that description? The last time I was there it was quite disappointing. Ivy Cottage is lovely - really great food in a small romantic atmosphere.

Its a bit of the drive, but ive always celebrated special occasions at Jimmy Hays in Island Park. great selection of steaks, chicken & fish - along with sides & this red roquefort salad dressing that i swear i could drink!

These are great; thanks so much. Keep 'em coming if there are any more suggestions. A 30-minute-or-less drive from central Nassau isn't bad either.

Two in NHP is terrific. Limani or Trata for great Greek-style fish. Bryant & Cooper for steak. Or drive out to North Fork Table in Southold and get a room!

Yeah, that is a good one and we love the North Fork. My curiosity is peaked about Lola in Great Neck, though...

If you love the idea of driving out to the NF, we also love The Jamesport Manor Inn... went there for our 28th anniversary last year.
