Went for a hike yesterday in Santa Ysabel and decided to hit up Dudley's and then go check out the Santa Ysabel casino..
They have a $6 HUGE pulled pork sandwich with a imported beer..$6 total..the beer alone is $5 bucks..the sandwich was so big that my hungry man, packed the other half for later..said it was really good.
Bottled water is free and the service was great..

If your up on your Harley or KTM, I highly suggest making a stop for the 'bartenders special'

You did say 'pulled pork' and not 'pulled tofu'. You realize you ate meat, right?

Funny. Was within a mile-ish yesterday on the KaTooM. Had a great MEATburger at the Hideout, surrounded by all the Chrome Buffalos in the parking lot.

OMG..the Hideout..what a classic place with 'chrome buffalos' all over the place..
Buddy of mine used to play drums there just for the color of it all..
It reminds me of a less than gussied up Cold Spring Tavern in the hills of Montecito/Santa Barbara that I love so very much.
Couldn't you see the angelic golden aura at the casino that I was there...hee hee

Ouch, that ain't cheap, definitely a special occasion type event. Having said that, I really enjoyed my dinner at 1540 during RW. Food was excellent, definitely on the playful side but still tasty and not over the top. Service was also top notch.

                        Hey chez..
5 course with wine pairing of Insignia and other greats from Joseph Phelps..
Thought I'd start a post so others can share wine dinners, beer feasts, and other food and drink goings on in town.

Wine Vault doing a 10 course Fat Tuesday meal paired with beer/wine for $35. Looking forward to Tuesday. Think they added additional days as it sold out fast.

I love being on their email list. Another added advantage is getting inspiration for home cooking as they cook seasonally from local sources, for the most part.

Wonder if they have a cancellation list to be on for the 10 course meal at Wine Vault?
                                That menu looks so great!

The Vault always maintains a list in case people drop off. Give them a call. I heard their Mardi Gras dinners were killer.
