Source for Asian items in Metrowest

I am looking for woodear mushrooms (dried) and sczechuan peppercorns. I know Super 88 and H mart has them but would like a source closer to Wellesley. Might I find them in Whole Foods or Roche Bros???

I think Penzey's carries the peppercorns, if you ever get near Arlington Heights..

They definitely do. But if the OP does make it to any of the Asian markets that carry Sichuan peppercorns, the price will be much better.

There is an Asian market(Korean) on 126 in downtown Framingham .

the wine store in Washington st, Newton , next to Whole Food may have it, expensive though, comparing to Asian store.

& to Hargau, Yes, Hmart has peppercorns, in the Vietnamese, Indian section, & it's from VN, better quality then the ones from China, in a small plastic jar, available both black or white.

You sure hmart has the peppercorns? I have looked for them with no luck.

hargau, if they're not in Hmart, I've definitely got them down the street at China Merchandise. Also in Chelmsford in the store in the little strip mall where Sichuan Palace is.

I doubt either Roche or Whole Foods would have them but there is a small Asian market that would in Newtonville just past Newton North HS on the left.
