Disney Concert Hall-Dinner Rec?

Would like a reasonably priced good food recommendation for dinner before music at Disney Concert Hall; preferably walking distance.

What does reasonably priced mean to you? Are you looking for sit down table service? What time does your program start?

Prefer sit down table service. the concert starts at 8:00. Last time we went to CASA; that was mid-week, and very loud, though we all liked the food (and prices were fine too). It might be fine on Saturday.

Take a look at the Redwood Bar & Grill. I'm not sure what time the music starts (that would be a deterrent to me if it was going while I was eating) but it's close and fairly inexpensive (and Pirate themed - if that makes a difference... ;-D> ).

I would be remiss if I didn't add that you would have much better choices if you were willing to travel a bit farther (not walking distance) from the venue for food.

For instance I would be inclined to catch an early dinner at Masa in Echo Park (about 2 miles away) and then go on to the concert.

To that end it might be worth considering eateries with shuttle service to Disney.

There are (or were -- not sure if the service still exists) several Downtown restaurants with shuttle service to the Disney Hall. Roy's is (was?) one of them. We expected the shuttle to be some sort of van, but nooooooooo -- a full-on stretch limo; after the concert we just called the driver on his cell phone and he was there in 5 minutes to take us back to our car, parked in a lot across the street from Roy's. It was very impressive, and free (though we of course tipped the driver).

I like the happy hour at Lazy Ox. The prices are good, and it might be walkable, depending on footwear and weather.

Haru ulala is not expensive and is really good. probably the least inexpensive of the izakaya's i've tried. it's on 2nd in little tokyo so you won't be far.

I went to Disney Hall last night for an 8pm concert, had dinner at Taix on Sunset just east of Alvarado, and the drive to the parking garage was 10 minutes. Arrived at 5:50 pm for dinner, left the restaurant at 7:10, and had plenty of time to park, eat, get to my seat, and even read the program. Just tell them ahead of time of your schedule, and they are very accommodating.
And on a Tuesday, all glasses of wine were 2 for the price of 1.
Superb special wine list, with prices not imaginable unless you see it with your own eyes.

It is a little walk, but I second the Lazy Ox. I have been twice before the Music Center and you can park in between the two and it worked pretty well.

Bottega Louie is close by, reasonably priced, and the food is good. It can be busy so I'd recommend having reservations for the inside restaurant part but if you want to just wing it, it's usually not that long of a wait to sit at the tables by the bar and the menu is the same. I like that it's an exciting "night out" kind of place and good for people watching.

It's walkable but probably not comfortably if you are dressed up and all. It's a 7 to 10 minute drive to the Disney Music Hall.

bottega louie is overpriced and the food tastes bad. if you wing it, you will wait forever for a table, the tables in the bar and the bar will be filled, and you will have to scream to get your drink order heard, if you can get the barman's attention.
it is a loud, uncomfortable "night out" kind of place. that said, there are some very pretty people there for you to stand in line with, bump in to, and compete for a table with.
