Best Cheap Eats Near Union Square?
A friend is going to be out in SF for a few days and is seeking recommendations for excellent cheap places to eat that are easy for a tourist to find. Thanks!

The places in the northeast quadrant of the city are relatively close to Union Square. If you click on the various "balloons," you will get the name & address for each place, along with a brief review.

tu lan, taqueria cancun, and taco's sandwiches are all right by the west corner of market and 6th. a bit of a [sketchy] walk from union square, but can't beat the prices.
