Here's the new lineup, along with an explanation of the new Masters format:

And it appears Gael Greene is out as a host for TCM too.

yes! That Gael Green was ghastly. Can' wait to see Ruth in action

That article doesn't say anything about Gael Greene, who is a judge, not host. It's Kelly Choi who is out as host, as discussed in this thread: http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/759422

D'oh. Of course you're right that Gael Greene was a judge, not a host on TCM. But with Ruth Riechl and James Oseland as the only judges mentioned in the press release (quoted here: http://www.alltopchef.com/2011/03/mor...), it appears Gael is out, along with Jay Rayner.

I'm not too well-versed in the restaurant world and most of these chefs haven't had the national media exposure (as far as i know) so I've only heard of a handful of these chefs. Reading that list was a letdown compared to the lineup of chefs that participated in the first two seasons.
That being said celebrity chefs need to start somewhere and I'm open to seeing what these chefs can do. The new format will let their skills/style really come through too.

glad Kelly Choi is out, tho Stone, to me, was an annoying pretty boy on his show. Gael Greene, while she definitely had a little bit of a weird edge to her, has a really long history as a food critic/cognoscenti in NY, going back decades. I read an autobiography of hers (it was on sale!), which had way too much about her sex life in it, but was impressive regarding her culinary experience.
Really excited about Ruth Reichl!

I'm hoping for high marks with CS. I think he's adorable but that's simply subjective.
You either like him or don't, as is the case with anything.
A gal I worked with years ago was fortunte to be at the right store at the right time and looking very cute and picked by CS for his Take Home Chef. The show was good and I will admit to being green with envy.
Fingers crossed it's a winner of a show.
