Allergen-Free Products??

I have a very close friend that has developed SEVERE allergies to soy, peanuts and shellfish. She's been to the emergency on several occasions and carries two epipens in her purse at all times.

I never noticed before how many products contain soy or "may have traces of nuts". There is no risk-taking allowed even with anything containing vegetable oil (may include soy) or "natural flavors".

Supermarkets (even Whole Foods) seem to have very little knowledge (and stock) of products.

I've searched online and found very few resources.

Does anyone know of any solid resources or products that might be worth trying?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Ask for the store manager at Whole Foods. There are people there who have in depth product knowledge. Their website probably has a resource list too.

    Search for "allergy friendly" food companies, check all links. There are many blogs, especially by parents which deal with finding "safe" foods.
