Campagnia in Fresno Closes It's Doors

Very sad to hear about the closing of one of our favorite restaurants, Campagnia closing it's doors yesterday. We have enjoyed many wonderful meals there, my daughter and I just enjoyed lunch there last week with no idea at all of the future closing. I will really miss this place! :(

Did anyone go to the Father's Day brunch grand opening Sunday? I'd be interested to know if the ambiance has changed. The only bad rap I heard about the "old" Campagnia was the lack of atmosphere and uninteresting and uncomfortable furnishings.

Exciting news! I hope they keep the atrium room the same, that is our favorite place to dine when we are there. I wonder if they will keep the same chef? He was awesome! :)

So upsetting, especially for a restaurant that appeared profitable and always busy. It's never good news when so many people are out of work in this economy.

Yesterday's paper reported that they have undergone reorganization and will reopen under new management this coming Sunday, serving brunch and dinner. There was no mention regarding who the new owners are, but said they have retained most of the old staff.
