Brunch before theater

Mini girl Mar 1, 2011 12:31 PM

We're looking for a place to have brunch before seeing play on Sunday. Looking for really good brunch fare preferably on the west side around 40s-50s. It will be a group of 4 who simply love brunch! Thanks!!!

Agree with this. The Croissant may be the best in the city and the Menage a Trois croque monsieur is stellar.

A few weeks ago I had a very good brunch at Eatery. They have an extensive and creative bunch menu and my eggs and grits were so good, and surprisingly not heavy. The only problem is that they do not take reservations so you have to go early.

What time is the curtain, 2pm? If so, why limit yourself to options in the Theater District? You could, for example, have a wonderful brunch at Cookshop (they open at 11am on Sunday) and easily make your curtain.

          I've enjoyed pre-theatre brunch at Marseille (44th St. & 9th Ave.).
