What's the most you're willing to spend per person, excluding tax (nearly 9%), tip (15-20%), and wine/drinks/etc.? How far in advance are you planning? Is this just for the two of you or a big group dinner? Any preferred neighborhoods, cuisine, atmosphere?

i'm willing to spend about $100-$150 per person, birthday is mid-april so planning pretty far in advance, and it's just for the two of us!

neighborhood i would probably say anywhere below 14th street, although some places uptown will be considered (like marea for instance...)

my boyfriend is very adventurous, so any cuisine is fair game!

        thanks for your help!

Paul Liebrandt's cuisine at Corton would be an excellet fit for someone who is very adventurous.

SHO Sean Hergatt, while not as adventurous, is quite creative.
