Mexican near Aventura Mall

Does anybody know if there is a half-decent Mexican restaurant near the Aventura Mall? It doesn't have to be over the top fantastic. I'll be at the mall with my teenage daughter and her friends and am trying to avoid dinner at the mall! Thanks so much.

Cheen Huaye +1. Paquitos won't kill you, but it's generic Mexican-American. Cheen Huaye comes off a lot closer to authentic Yucatan style Mexican.

Thanks to all for the Cheen Huaye recommendation. We went for dinner a couple of nights ago and we all loved it!! Highly recommend. Warm, attentive staff and delicious food.

Cheen Huaye has Yucatan cuisine with serious chicken mole, tacos al pastor, carnitas, lime chicken and good ceviches. It is small and the owner is the chef. Pacquito's is typical fun Tex-Mex that teens might prefer. For real Mexican try Cheen Huaye

Paquito's at 163rd and US-1 is fun, good food and mariachis to boot. We like the Chiles Rellenos and the Mexican style chicken soup with sliced avocado on top... about 5 minutes south of the mall.
