What are your favorites?

I like to find new places and am looking for ideas.

Thanks to this site, I've already checked out a lot of fun ones (Market Basket - Chelsea
Russo's, Fairway and Stew Leonard's in CT).

Are there any other great places I should check out?

Thanks.

The Market at Pine Hills Plymouth. (Exit 3 off Route 3). Clean, great service, wonderful selection or meat, fish, prepared foods.

McKinnon's in Davis for meat. Especially love the strip steaks. Much better quality than typical supermarket steak at a great price.

Our regular rotation includes Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Russo's, Super 88, H-Mart, Sevan & Arax in Watertown for Armenian goods, Eastern Lamejun on Belmont St. in Belmont for Lamejun and Sofia's Greek Pantry, also on Belmont St. in Belmont for Greek goodies. Oh, and sometimes Stop & Shop and Costco.

Just came home from dinner where there was yet another discussion re the awesomeness of the new Market Basket in Burlington . . . . "have you tried the bakery!?" is what I keep hearing.

My regular spot is the triangle between the new Market Basket in Burlington, Super H and Trader Joe's---I find nearly everything I want in those three stores.

For fancy farmstands I love Idylwilde in Acton and Russo's in Watertown, and Trader Joe's on Memorial Drive for wine. And of course the Armenian stores on Mt Auburn St.

Can ethnic markets play this game? Super88 (Hong Kong Market now?) in Allston (Asian, slight focus on Chinese and SE Asian stuff), H-Mart in Burlington (Asian, focusing on Korean) and, if you're in NJ, Mitsuwa (Japanese). There's also the Angkor Thom Market in Revere (Cambodian), which looks promising, though I've never been inside.

Try the Whole Foods in Dedham- amazing. I like Wilson Farms too.
