I'm wondering if those who bought the 2.5 qt Doufeu on sale at WS have been happy with their purchases? Has the small size proven very useful or is the pot is more like a cute accessory?
I used mine straight out of the gate to make a half-loaf of no-knead bread and it came out wonderfully. The tight space yielded a thick, crunchy crust and a very airy, tender crumb. I haven't tried it on meat yet, but it wins the bread test.
I remember that - it looked scrumptious! Are you at all worried about damaging the finish with the high temps? Have you used if for anything other than bread?
