Considering going there for lunch this week. Has anyone been?

I've been 3 or 4 times now. Agree with Bartleby. The room is awkward (as are some of the servers). The pizza is pretty good, but overpriced. I live right there, hence the multiple visits. I wouldn't go out of my way to try it.

I've had a couple of lunches at Pasta Beach. A salad was fine but unremarkable, a dish of pasta with a simple tomato sauce was remarkable for the freshness and simplicity of the sauce, and the pizza was very good: in the Neapolitan style, a relatively soft crust but with a nice snap and salty tang, and those very fresh-tasting tomatoes again. Service was relaxed, I wouldn't go there if in a rush, and the room is awkward, but all in all it was a good experience and I will go back for pasta and pizza.

Yes, was there for dinner about a month ago. Stick with the pasta. Of the 3 diners only the person who got pasta enjoyed their meal. I had a seared tuna salad that was more green leaves than tuna. It was an odd presentation and I didn't enjoy it. My husband had beef that was dry. Our friend had pasta and raved about it. So stick with the pasta. I understand that is what they are known for and if I go back, that is what I will have.

Is this the same Pasta Beach from Newport? Where is it?

Yes. They opened a location at Rowes Wharf.
