SF mid-priced dinner

East Bay couple spending the night in SF this week-end, wanting to have a nice dinner without spending Gary Denko's money. In the East I would go to Dopo, Pizzaiolo, Flora... I was thinking of "Bar Agricole" but the reviews are mixed. Our hotel is by the Moma but we are willing to take a cab. Thank you for your advice.

in that case, I'd suggest Pizzeria Delfina, either 18th St or Fillmore.
or Barbacco (you could walk if you're a walker).

By the way, I loved your "in the East" idiom here.
