Lunch @ SFO (Int'l Terminal - A Gates)
Suggestions for a decent lunch at the airport? (Leaving the airport really isn't an option) - departing from the A gates, which means the main hall restaurants and the A pier restaurants are available. Here are the options: (Even if you don't have a strong "yes" or recommendation, an "avoid" if applicable is fine, too.
(Main Hall)
Burger Joint
Ebisu
Emporio Rulli
Euro Café
Firewood Grill
Fung Lum
Harbor Village Kitchen
Lori’s Diner
Osho Japanese Cuisine
Willow Street Woodfired Pizza
(Boarding Area A/Gates A1-A12)
Amoura Café
Firewood Café
Firewood Grill
Il Fornaio Caffe Del Mondo

Burger Joint is good, that's what I'd pick if I wanted a burger. Lori's is like a Denny's but a bit better...decent standard American breakfast but nothing special. Avoid Willow St. A lot of people like Ebisu but don't know about in SFO.

I have a soft spot for Ebisu's tempura udon. When going eastward to Europe, you'll want a high starch / low protein meal, and their noodles do the trick. Tasty.
Burger Joint's burgers have a lot of grill char. I love 'em, my girlfriend hates them. You'll read similar about BJ - if you like char, they've got it.-----

Good to know about Ebisu. I know it's a big fav in SF but never tried it at SFO. I tend to go for breakfast at airports. Even at SFO where there is good food I tend to go safe...nothing like a bad meal before a flight. I admit to Lori's Diner because it's pretty fast and safe.
