Have you tried a Portuguese butcher shop? Nosso Talho?

i dont think i have ever seen them raw...they are already smoked.

regardless, they are great on the grill! any portuguese butcher has them.

The Borges brand that you can find at No Frills may be smoked, but must still be cooked. (It says so right on the package) That is probably the type that "toronto guy" is looking for.

Borges Foods makes all sorts of Portuguese meat products in wide circulation around the GTA. They're just across the street from Brandt in Mississauga but I'm not sure they sell from their plant.
