LOOKING TO BUY CHINESE COOKWARE IN SEATTLE
I recently dug out my wok after about 25 years in storage and am ready to once again conquer Chinese Stir-Fry... but, I have lost all my accessories, including my chef's knife. Coming to civilization soon and need advice for a good source... Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Dong Vinh is just what I recommend and no ID shopping trip is complete without Uwajimaya. May I also suggest Viet Wah on Jackson? Often when I can't find what I need at Dong Vinh and don't want to pay the prices at Uwaji I will find what I need at this Asian supermarket. They carry a decent selection of housewares and a good selection of condiments.

Uwajimaya is some good shopping, with any Asian condiment your heart may desire, hello kitty supplies, Japanese bookstore, food court. Their cookware selection is good but retail. Nice rice cookers in varying sizes, dishes and bowls, teapots, high-end knives. Stop in if you have an hour or two to spare.
Dong Vinh is much more utilitarian - dim sum steamers, cheaper knives. I go there for basics like spatulas and strainers but always enjoy looking through the Asian selection too.
