Nadaman @ Shangri-La Tokyo

I ate here at lunch a couple of weeks ago, and had their mini kaiseki meal. Against all of my expectations, it was the best kaiseki I have ever had. In the past I have not really appreciated kaiseki as much as I had thought I should - as I know happens to quite a few gaijin. This one was not ultra traditional, and had a few outside influences, but it was pretty uniformly superb.

The best thing, and one of the single tastiest things I had in my whole trip, was tempura shirako wrapped in a shiso leaf.

Anyway, might be worth checking out for people who's palettes don't have the Japanese subtlety down 100%

The hotel is very nice too.
