I'm not sure i find it offensive or anything, but certainly deeply deeply annoying.

How many babies with legitimate, life-threatening health problems (or heaven forbid the children of the women who are positioning themselves as two-legged cows) are going without the breastmilk they need to satisfy the bizarre urges of a handful of people?

Breast milk banks go begging, but yet this goes on.

Well, it appears to have been pulled on health and safety grounds:

I think that is the single most decadent thing I have ever heard of, and I am no prude. It is surely a representation of the downfall of Western civilization.

        I saw it here: http://news.cnet.com/8301-27083_3-200...

"Decadent" wasn't the first adjective to spring to my mind!

Anyway it's been withdrawn to ensure it's "fit for human consumption".

It sounds to me like something they'd have done in Ancient Rome. It's just plain ridiculous. I'm not a prude either, but I find it annoying and offensive.

Offensive is really it most of all... I did not mean decadent in a good way. I meant decadent in the original sense of the word, as in ancient rome. The DECAY of Western civilization.

Well, here's the thing. Mothers who have just had babies do one of two things. They either stop the milk from flowing with an injection and do not breast feed or they continue to produce milk. The baby should have the milk, not the public! And if someone is just selling their milk for profit, it seems pretty crass and horrible to me.

Too late - sold out at the moment, but as they say "Baby Gaga will be on the menu as long as the supplies keep flowing" : http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyl...
