Brion's Grille in Fairfax near GMU?

I can't find anything about this place on the board. Has anyone been? It sounds like a great addition to the food scene in the area, seasonal food with dishes along the lines of the GAR (owner was part of that group). I've heard the burgers are excellent. It's been around for a long time so I'm surprised there's nothing on it--or maybe it's not that good?

There's a lot from years ago, just change the search to "all time" or whatever. But I agree that I don't recall any recent threads or mentions.

Thanks--I just looked further back. Nothing substantial about it but might be a good brunch place to try out. There's a serious shortage of good brunch places in this area.

Try this link for a lot of mentions, but again they're all old (and I haven't been myself - though I've wanted to and tried once when they were closed on some odd occastion)

Yeah, and they're just mentions of it, too. Nothing specific. I'll have to give it a try.

Generally that's correct. Years ago I believe Steve gave some more in-depth reviews. But from everything I could tell it was just a solid.....place. I never was compelled to go out of my way, and then when I was there the one time and they were closed I wasn't overly let down. Bummer, but I'll pick somewhere else. Especially knowing that there's a college nearby with largely undiscerning tastes.

But, I'd be interested to hear about any experiences!

I've never been, and nothing about it seems particularly interesting....... but you never know.

Seasonal food, brunch, reasonably priced in NoVa, not too far from me. I haven't found a place yet. But, I wonder, as Dennis said, with the location if it plays to the crowd.

Huh - I swear you posted a review I read long ago. Ah well, that's what happens over time, right!

It's really not very good. We live close to it but never go, except for a recent brunch when we accompanied friends who suggested it. Based on that, I am content to continue to avoid it due to the many much better options including Great American Restaurants.
