drinks in Atlantic City - Borgata

Hi, just posted this on the Philly board, but probably should have posted here. My husband and I are having dinner at Bobby Flay in Borgata soon. Where do you suggest for drinks prior to dinner? somewhere close but not at the restaurant preferably. we are mid 30's. Thanks!

Well, it looks like you've received recs for every bar at the Borgata other than the Japanese place (which is pretty good) and the Italian place in the basement.

There’s a small raw bar (the Oyster Bar) in the Metropolitan where you can get a drink and a seafood appetizer if you’re in the mood for one.

I generally think that the Metropolitan is overshadowed by the celebrity chef restaurants at the Borgata and is often overlooked. I’ve had some great lunches and a couple of excellent dinners there.

I agree BF lounge at the Borgata has great atmosphere for cocktails before dinner.

Frankly I think the bar at Bobby Flay is the best of the lot.

gotta agree. we always have cocktails at BF's first. more comfortable and a bit more swankier(!) than Wolfgangs and usually not as crowded as gypsy.

There are different drink specials/happy hours at each place depending on the day and time. I always check the website for these as most places have a nice enough atmosphere to drink in. Otherwise the drinks are pretty pricey.

I am with p314n! I really like the Gypsy Bar! We also have gad drinks at Wolfgang Puck's place as well. You can also see some action when sitting at the bar! :)
